Great comments about the personalities in LA.  My recollection was Marcel Dionne was a pretty classy guy.  Until Scottie Bowman came along, Izerman was more of a selfish player, but he changed under Bowman and the changed paid off with a Stanley Cup. 

Mario Lemieux was a pretty awesome player too.  It's amazing that a small market team like the penguins could win the Stanley Cup.

TWM, me being in SoCal I got see a lot of the Great One. As you know it was the middle to the end of his career. He had to play with few different coaching styles. He had to endure the run and gun, which he played with guys who rather display their speed than except great setups. He had the Barry Melrose goonish style with sort of under size guys. Don't get me wrong it was still great to watch him at the Forum 16,005 strong every night. It was always fun to see the power play with Luc Robitaille because it was clear they hated each other. The whole French Canadian 'V' Westerner feud. The funny thing is most true Kings fans would probably take Marcel Dionne or Rogie Vachon as their favorite. Gretz is still the best I ever saw with Steve Yzerman second, loved his leadership.
